Dan Cheney entered into the real estate industry in 1979 after a short stint with the state of California. After working a measly 7 months for Century 21 J & J Dan purchased the firm. The office was located on the corner of Highway 180 and Academy in a modest 600 square foot mobile home. After 6 years in that location, we relocated the firm to a brand new office building on desirable Jensen Ave. 

Initially the firm was devoted solely to general residential real estate and as time progressed we diversified. The firm began its property management duties in 1990 and then ventured into residential and commercial development. In fact, The Vineyard Glen Estates Subvidivsion on Bethel Ave was a project we had a partnership interest in. In the beginning of early 2000;s the firm became more involved in residential developments during those boom years. During that stint, the firm partook in nearly 16 new residential subdivisions. It was through that period this office was the recipient of numerous Centurion awards from Century 21 International production. 

In 2006 Greg joined the firm unlike most agents leaving the industry. Greg immediately made his presence known landing a major client in Wells Fargo. I soon started listing all their Southern Valley foreclosures and quickly made a name from myself becoming a local REO agent. From 2008 to 2014 (the recession years) I was averaging 40 REO listings a year and flourishing. Dan also adapted to this market landing the County of Fresno Neighborhood Stabilization Program. This program was geared towards assisting lower income families in purchasing foreclosure properties/REO’s with grant monies. 

In more recent years the company has grown in recognition and in depth of their product knowledge. Agriculture sales have made up a significant portion of our volume. Multi-unit/Apartment Complexes, Business Opportunity, and Commercial sales have also increased dramatically. Lastly our property management department has to grown to nearly 300 doors. 

In 2019 Greg purchased the firm from Dan which was in the works for nearly 5 years. Dan stayed on as a part time agent, recruiter, coach, and mentor. He also runs the property management department. The fact that we have been in business in our community for nearly 40 years and in the same location for 34 years gives our customers a sense of continuity and stability. Our customers can rest assured we are here for the long haul and have a valued interest in them and all their real estate decisions.
